We kind of did that, because we noticed that SMB would give boluses even when under the target if his hypo treatment was above the carbs that the algorithm expected. So we used automation to aggressively set a temp target if anywhere under the actual target, e.,g. set temp target of 8 if he is less than 5.5. The other way was just to lie to the system about the amount of carbs you give.

Maybe if we dialed in those SMB settings more, but like I said I we were on it for a few months and nothing was getting better, so just flipped back to 0ref0 which still works great.
